1.What is Unified Message Service
　　UMS（Unified Message Service） is the latest idea on message service in the world. UMS combines all kinds of message service, which previously shared through telephone network, pager network, mobile network and internet. It memorizes and manages all the collected information including voice, fax, paging, mobile brief message, email and multimedia data, etc in the same place. The user can send and receive message through any communication device at anytime anywhere by telephone, fax machine, mobile phone, pager, PC, palm computer, PDA, etc. By this flexible and intelligent information management way, the message service becomes much more individual and intelligent.

2.Brief Introduction of Sanhui UMS
　

Sanhui UMS system is based on IP UMS solution which combines advanced voice composition and voice identification. It fully realizes the entire comprehensive message service in voice, data, multimedia information, etc.

3.Structure

We can know from the above structure drawing that:
　　Sanhui UMS system constitutes of Intelligent Telephone Exchange and Intelligent Address List system, Voice Mailbox and Mails system,Mail Automatic Notifying and Pick-up System, Management Module, Digital Recorder and Exchange Sever. Inside the broken lines is UMS system. All the functions are integrated into a top grade PC.
　
4.Functions Introduction
A. Intelligent Telephone Exchange and Intelligent Address List
In this part, on the basis of the traditional computer operator, it applies the international advanced technology on telephone voice identification which has a flexible switch between automatic and manual service. It realizes an easy, flexible and convenient service by 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

Automatic receiving and transferring by identifying the dialer mentioned department, name, etc.

Intelligent Address List:

Automatic research on target receiver's extension number, mobile phone number, pager number, phone number at home, etc then transfer automatically, by identifying the dialer mentioned department, name, etc.

B. Voice Mailbox and Voice Mails
　　Voice Mailbox and Voice Mails system is applied in the user's Leave Word message management and playing. The system can automatically translate the leave words into mail and memorize them into the Exchange Server for pick-up.

C. Fax Mailbox and Mails
　　Fax Mailbox and Mails system mainly deals with individual fax issues which has the following functions:

Automatically translating the received fax into mails and memorizing them into Exchange Server, notifying the customer there received a fax and the customer can pick up, read and transmit them on the PC anytime.

Send the faxes in batches according to the set data base.

customer can ask for the fax if needed.

D. Digital Recorder System
　　It applies to phone recording and playing afterwards. The system administrator can control the purviews according to the different authorized operators.

E. Exchange Server
　　The Exchange Server forms this system and it applies to the user's interior mail exchange or the received voice, fax, emails memorizing.

F. Mail Automatic Notifying and Pick-up
　　In case of the user can not pick up the mails through interior network, the system can notify the user through any applicable communication way. The user can pick up the mail by telephone. This system adopts the advanced TTS (Text To Speech) technology, which makes it possible to translate the email into voice message.

G.Mail Agent
　　Mail Agent service applies to the unified mail receiving and sending and then distribute them to the individual mailbox in the Exchange Server. To those unspecified mails, the main operator will dispose them by manual.
